Description
What is Dioralyte and when is it used?
Dioralyte sachets help restore lost fluids and essential salts if you’ve experienced vomiting or diarrhoea, both of which can cause dehydration. Dioralyte replenishes these losses and aids in rehydrating your body.
What causes Dehydration?
Dehydration occurs when your body loses too much water. This can happen due to:
- Vomiting
- Frequent loose or watery stools (diarrhoea)
- Not drinking enough water
- Prolonged exposure to hot environments
What is the recommended dosage of this treatment?
To use Dioralyte, mix one sachet with 200ml (about 7 fluid ounces) of water and drink it. Some adults may require two sachets, mixed with 400ml (about 14 fluid ounces) of water. Always mix Dioralyte with fresh drinking water only.
When should Dioralyte not be used?
Avoid using Dioralyte if:
- Diarrhoea has persisted for more than 48 hours
- You have liver or kidney issues
- You have diabetes
In any of these cases, consult a doctor first.
How should I store Dioralyte?
Store Dioralyte in a cool, dry place below 25°C.
