What is Duac?
Duac is a topical gel designed to treat mild to moderate acne. It contains two active ingredients: Clindamycin, an antibiotic that stops acne-causing bacteria from growing, and Benzoyl peroxide, which acts as an antibacterial and exfoliant. Together, these ingredients help reduce bacteria, treat existing spots, and lessen redness and swelling.
How do I use it?
Begin by cleansing your face gently to remove any makeup, then pat your skin dry. Apply a thin layer of Duac to the affected areas once a day, using your fingertips to rub it in gently. Avoid applying it around the mouth, lips, and nose. Wash your hands thoroughly after application and allow the gel to dry on your skin—do not rinse it off. Using more than directed won’t improve results and may cause irritation.
How long does it take to work?
Duac generally begins showing results within 2-5 weeks, with full benefits typically seen after 8-12 weeks. Avoid using it for longer than 12 weeks without consulting a healthcare professional.
How should I store Duac?
Before purchase, Duac is stored in a refrigerator, but once obtained, you can store it at room temperature (up to 25°C). Discard any remaining product after two months.
