What is Telfast and what’s in it?
Telfast is a medicine that helps with hay fever, also known as seasonal allergic rhinitis. It contains an active ingredient called fexofenadine hydrochloride, which is a non-drowsy antihistamine. Hay fever shows up as a runny or stuffy nose, itchy, red, and watery eyes, and sneezing.
How should I use Telfast?
If you’re an adult, you should take one 120mg Telfast tablet once a day before eating. If you forget to take one, don’t try to make up for it by taking two.
How quickly does it work?
Telfast’s antihistamine effects usually start about an hour after taking the tablet with water, and they work best about 6 hours later.
How long does it last?
Telfast can help you for up to 24 hours.
What’s the difference between Telfast and Fexofenadine?
Telfast is the brand name for a more expensive version of generic Fexofenadine. Both contain the same active ingredient, and they work the same medically.
What is Allegra?
Allegra is another brand name for the active ingredient fexofenadine hydrochloride. It’s available only in the US, but in the UK, it goes by the name Telfast.
